How to Get My Child to Wear Their Glasses

Does your child refuse to wear their glasses? Here are some quick and easy tips!

Let Them Choose their Glasses-

• Kids are more likely to wear glasses they love. Let them pick their favorite style!
  
  

Make It Fun

• Turn glasses into a superpower! Tell them they have "super sight" like a superhero!

• If you wear glasses, wear them proudly! Kids love to copy their parents.

Make It Routine

• Glasses should be part of their daily routine—just like brushing their teeth! If they give you a hard time, tell them to wear them for just one hour or whatever time frame seems achievable for them. They will often wear them for longer than the agreed upon timeframe. Realizing the benefits of seeing better can encourage them to wear them longer. 

Positive Reinforcement

• Praise them when they wear their glasses. Stickers, small rewards, or a simple “Great job!” can help.
